She is responsible for ensuring compliance with our privacy policy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Collection and protection of personal information<\/b><\/p>\n We collect contact information (including names, emails, phone numbers, and postal codes) as needed to engage young Canadians in politics. We also collect data about the interests and priorities of our supporters in order to better tailor our communications to you and communicate those priorities externally. Finally, we collect personal information as part of our hiring process, at both the application and at the onboarding stages. This includes information such as your contact information, your resume, and your answers to interview questions.<\/span><\/p>\n We are responsible for maintaining and protecting the Personal Information under our control. We will <\/span>never <\/b>sell your personal information. All Personal Information is protected by security safeguards that are appropriate to the sensitivity level of the information, and we take all reasonable precautions to protect your Personal Information from any loss or unauthorized use, access or disclosure.<\/span><\/p>\n We may record phone calls as needed for training and quality assurance purposes. If a call is being recorded, we will notify you at the beginning of the call and provide the option to opt-out of recording. We may also record information you share with us in person, by email, or by text in order to better tailor our communications and provide relevant services.<\/span><\/p>\n Consent<\/b><\/p>\n All petitions, surveys, and other forms used by our teams clearly state some variation of: \u201cBy filling out this form, you are consenting to being contacted by email and phone by New Majority\u201d. This information is collected and stored so that we can engage young Canadians in politics – for example, by inviting them to participate in focus groups, by reminding them to vote, or by sharing resources about issues that young Canadians have identified as priorities. All canvassers and callers are trained to communicate that we <\/span>will<\/span><\/i> use this information to reach out about future projects and opportunities for engagement.<\/span><\/p>\n Consent can be withdrawn at any time by:<\/span><\/p>\n You will be removed from communications within 2 business days.<\/span><\/p>\n If you have asked to be removed but do get follow-up communications, please reach out to us immediately at <\/span>hey@newmajority.ca<\/span><\/a> with your name and number, and we will escalate the situation and do a comprehensive review of all of our systems to ensure that you are fully removed from all locations.<\/span><\/p>\n If you\u2019ve unsubscribed or asked not to be contacted, but later reach out to us (for example, by applying for a job or emailing our team), we may respond and, where appropriate, re-add you to an email or phone list.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Partners<\/b><\/p>\n New Majority works with partner organizations to offer opportunities for increased civic engagement. As a result, sometimes we may ask for explicit consent to share your contact information with a partner organization.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n This might look like:<\/span><\/p>\n If, and only if, you give us explicit consent, we may share your information with the partner. La date de la mise \u00e0 jour sera alors indiqu\u00e9e en haut du document.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div> This Data Agreement (hereafter Agreement) is entered into between New Majority (NM) and PARTNER on DATE. The purpose of this Agreement is to establish the scope, content, and security of data to be shared between New Majority and PARTNER.<\/span><\/p>\n NM will share a portion of their contact list with PARTNER. NM reserves the right to decide which segment of their contact list they share with PARTNER, and will only ever share information belonging to contacts who have explicitly consented to receiving communications from a NM partner organization.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n NM will share the following information about each contact in their list with PARTNER:<\/span><\/p>\n NM will share that information with PARTNER as it was filled out by the contact themselves in their survey response.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n NM may share multiple lists with PARTNER depending on the scope of the partnership. This agreement applies to any contact list shared by NM with PARTNER.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n New Majority treats all personal information as confidential and does not sell, share or disclose any of it to other organizations or third parties unless explicitly authorized by the contact.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Prospective contacts can choose to opt in or opt out of receiving communications from partner organizations before they complete the interaction signing them up for NM communications. NM will never share personal information with a partner if the contact has opted out of partner communications.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n As such, it is a condition of this agreement that PARTNER treat any contact information shared with them as strictly confidential. PARTNER agrees not to sell the data received under this agreement, and never to share this information with other organizations unless they have explicitly received consent to do so from the contact.<\/span><\/p>\n NM may provide additional information, such as the contact\u2019s postal code, to ensure they receive communications that are relevant to them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n PARTNER will contact the list provided under this agreement at their discretion. This may include communications such as emails, phone calls, or text campaigns. PARTNER agrees that all email communications to this list will include an option to unsubscribe, and all requests to opt out of future communication will be honoured.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n This agreement does not entail any kind of\u00a0 endorsement\u00a0 by NM of campaigns or projects undertaken by PARTNER using this list.<\/span><\/p>\n NM takes precautions to ensure the personal information, such as contact details, we collect remains secure, contained, and only accessible to authorized staff for select purposes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n PARTNER agrees to treat all personal information shared under this agreement with all reasonable caution and confirms they have safeguarding measures in place to ensure data shared by NM remains secure.<\/span><\/p>\n PARTNER takes full responsibility for the protection of personal information from this point onwards.<\/span><\/p>\n This agreement is in effect in perpetuity.
