🗳️ Who’s Running to Lead Canada?
Hey new first-time voters! We get it. There’s a lot to figure out when it comes to voting in a federal election. From how and where to vote, to understanding which parties are running and who’s leading them, it can feel like a lot.
That’s totally normal. You’re not expected to know it all at once — and the most important thing is that you get started and make a plan.
To help kick off your own research, here’s a high-level fact sheet on the federal party leaders — their “baseball card” stats, if you will. Who they are, where they’re from, and what riding they’re running in for this federal election.
👉 Reminder: In Canada, you vote for a candidate in your riding — not directly for a Prime Minister. That means you’ll only see these names on your ballot if you live in their ridings.
And before you make your plan to vote, be sure to do your own research. A great place to start is elections.ca — your best, most accurate source for all things related to Federal Election 2025.
